Yale University’s 50th Reunion Weekend

Yale University 50th Reunion

Traveling to New Haven, Connecticut to cover Yale University’s Class of 1966 50th Reunion Weekend was a first for our Coverd photographers. It wasn’t their first time driving to Connecticut, or their first big weekend shoot, but it was Coverd’s very first event outside of New York state.

Yale’s class of 1966 was raring to go for a full weekend of fun, and the Yale Reunion Committee needed professional photographers to be onsite to capture all of the excitement. The very discerning Reunion Committee did their homework and confirmed that Coverd had the experience and expertise to deliver quality photographs and chose us to do the job.

The weekend’s events included a welcome brunch, a picnic lunch, several cocktail parties, and a formal dinner with music and dancing. The class of ’66 had an amazing time reuniting with old friends, dancing and socializing. It’s not everyday you get to see a bunch of 70 year olds partying and carousing but Coverd was there to capture this and all of the other festivities. In the end, every member of the class was able to access and view an entire online gallery of over 1,300 photos from the weekend.

This event was a huge win for Coverd, marking our first foray outside of New York and putting us on a path to national growth. Our model really works and now Coverd has photographers based all over the tri-state area. Professional photographers aren’t just for weddings and Bar Mitzvahs anymore; they belong at all important events, big or small. Coverd has proven that quality photographs taken by professional photographers are now in reach for everyone at anytime.
